MULTI TEST Nitrite & Nitrate
Nitrite is toxic and should not be detectable in a well-established aquarium. Nitrate is relatively non-toxic, ie non-toxic, but as it is not found in the tropical rainforest rivers and lakes, even smaller concentrations can affect your fish. With Seachem MultiTest Nitrite / Nitrate ⢠which is a reagent detector, you get an accurate measurement of the presence of these substances.
By opting out - or for long periods of time - without water change, the nitrate concentration will naturally increase as a consequence of the nitrification process. Aim for water exchange when the nitrate content exceeds 25mg / liter. At nitrate concentrations above 25 mg / l, phosphates will most often also be present. Nitrate and phosphate are nutrients for many types of algae and especially brush algae.
By testing for nitrate, you can reduce your water change from a fixed routine with time intervals to "as needed", thus saving our drinking water.
Seachem MultiTest ⢠measures nitrite with a precision of 0.1 mg / liter and nitrate to less than 0.2 mg / liter.
Seachem MultiTest ⢠contains liquids for 75 tests, as well as a reference sample for validation.
Seachem MultiTest ⢠can be used for both fresh and salt water.
